Access Bars: A Gently Touching Experience That Changed My Healing Process.

Introduction: A Healer’s Awakening

As a healer, I’ve attempted other methods for helping individuals heal their body, mind, and spirit. From Reiki to balancing the chakras, there is a piece of each that I have attempted. But something was missing—until I discovered Access Bars. This is a genuine-to-goodness personal testimony about what Access Bars is, how it has helped my clients and myself, and why I believe it can help any willing individual let go of mental blocks and find peace.

What are Access Bars?

Access Bars is a gentle, hands-on modality created by Gary Douglas in the 1990s. It consists of a gentle touch of 32 precise points on the head. The points, known as “Bars,” are associated with different elements of life like money, control, creativity, aging, healing, awareness, sorrow, joy, kindness, gratitude, and so much more. Gently touching these points enables stuck energy, limiting thoughts, emotional blocks, and unwanted thoughts to be released out of your system.

Imaginatively, you’re cleaning out the mess of your mental closet. Every touch assists you in wiping out judgments, decisions, and feelings that you’ve accumulated over the years—often dating back to childhood or elsewhere.

Every Bars point contains the electromagnetic aspect of all the thinking, charge, and feelings regarding that area in life. To illustrate:

The “Money” Bar contains your thoughts and energy regarding money.

The “Control” Bar is about your need to control or be controlled.

The “Creativity” Bar is about your imagination and your ability to create.

By gently passing your fingers across these Bars, the energy is released, like releasing the tension of a sealed jar.

How I Discovered Access Bars

I recall my first Access Bars session. I was exhausted emotionally, yet I was healing people daily. A fellow healer taught me the process. The first session was this profound mental massage. I didn’t sleep, but I relaxed completely. When I woke up, something was different. My head was lighter. Clearer. It was subtle, but profound.

The Science Behind the Bars

You may ask yourself, “How can light touches on the head cause so much change?”

Your brain generates electrical patterns in the brain. These patterns become fixed over time, entrapping us in repetitive patterns of thought. The Bars disperse these patterns, such as deleting old computer files.

Scientific research, such as carried out by neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey L. Fannin, demonstrates that one Bars session can lower brain wave activity by a considerable percentage. Through a session, the brain shifts from an excited beta state to a calmer theta or delta state, much like during deep meditation or sleep. That’s where actual healing and release take place.

It’s like a recharge on your mind. Your nervous system unwinds, and your body is in receive.

What Happens During a Session?

The session usually takes 60-90 minutes. Client is lying back in normal clothes. I lightly touch various spots on their head. No pressure. No required talking (unless you need it). Most of the clients relax, some of them sleep. Some feel as if heat is there, tingling or floating.

Some clients laugh or cry—they are fine. It is the body releasing trapped emotions. The energy starts to flow where it was stuck.

Access Bars is calming, serene, and very comforting. Clients describe it as feeling like their mind quiets down finally.

A Message from My Heart

Dear reader,

I’m not here to sell you a miracle. I’m here to share a path. Access Bars changed how I view healing—not as “fixing,” but as allowing. It’s about opening up space inside you. Space for peace, joy, and possibility.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, tired, or emotionally burdened, maybe it’s time to try something gentle. Something kind. Something like Access Bars.

You deserve to feel light. You deserve to feel free.

Access Bars for Children

Children are often more energetically open than adults. Bars sessions help them release anxiety, improve focus, sleep better, and handle peer pressure. Parents often say their children become calmer and happier after just one or two sessions.

Myths and Misunderstandings About Access Bars

Some people think it’s hypnosis. It’s not. Others think it’s religious. It’s not. Some fear it will make them forget who they are. On the contrary, it helps you remember who you truly are, beyond the mental noise and societal programming.

Access Bars vs Other Healing Techniques

Unlike talk therapy, Bars requires no verbal communication. Unlike meditation, it doesn’t ask you to do anything. Unlike energy healing methods like Reiki, Bars works by releasing points rather than channeling energy. Every technique has value. Bars simply adds a new dimension.

Preparing for an Access Bars Session

Come with an open heart. Wear comfortable clothes. Eat lightly. Bring no expectations. Let your body and mind receive. The less you try to understand, the more you’ll gain.

Signs You Might Need an Access Bars Session

  • Feeling mentally stuck or overwhelmed
  • Anxiety, depression, mood swings
  • Chronic stress or burnout
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Repeating negative patterns
  • Lack of clarity or motivation

If any of these feel familiar, Bars might be for you.

What to Expect After a Session

People often report:

  • Feeling lighter
  • Thinking less
  • Better sleep
  • Emotional release
  • Increased clarity
  • More ease in handling daily stress

Some feel immediate shifts. For others, it’s subtle and builds over time.

Final Reflections

Access Bars isn’t just a technique. It’s an invitation—to a different way of being. A life with less judgment, less stress, more ease, and more joy.

Whether you receive a session, learn to run Bars, or simply stay curious—it’s a step toward your inner freedom. And if I could give one message through all these words, it would be this:

You are not broken. You don’t need fixing. You only need to receive what your soul has always known—peace, love, lightness, and space.

Access Bars is not just a technique. It’s a doorway. A doorway to a calmer mind, a freer heart, and a more joyful life. As a healer, I’ve seen what it can do. And I invite you to experience it for yourself.

You don’t have to walk this journey alone. I’m here. The Bars are here. And so is the possibility of a new you.
